Baden-Württemberg FDP state parliament members visit PENTANOVA CS GmbH

Böblingen, October 7, 2022 - At the beginning of October, Hans Dieter Scheerer, FDP member of the state parliament for the Böblingen constituency, and Dr. Christian Jung, spokesman for transport and petitions for the FDP state parliamentary group, visited PENTANOVA CS GmbH. They got an idea of the successful start of the former Eisenmann division and the promising projects of the company in the context of industrial digitalization.

Until now, PENTANOVA CS GmbH was known in the logistics industry as the former Conveyor Systems division of the plant engineering company Eisenmann. Due to Eisenmann's insolvency in 2019, Austrian automation specialist PENTANOVA acquired the healthy division. Under a new name, the then division manager and current CEO Sebastiano Sardo has been successfully continuing the business since September 2020. "I am proud to say that we have made a successful start as PENTANOVA CS GmbH with our proven team of motivated and highly qualified employees and the trust of our customers. As before, we continue to stand for reliable, sustainable and efficient material flow solutions as well as effective project management," emphasizes Sardo. The portfolio of the company, which continues to be based in Böblingen and operates autonomously on the market, includes electrified rail systems, floor conveyor technology, driverless transport systems and the realization of overall intralogistics solutions as a general contractor. The new affiliation has not changed the company's technical and planning expertise. With around 180 employees in seven countries, PENTANOVA CS GmbH continues to successfully handle projects on an international level. "The flat hierarchies in the PENTANOVA Group also enable us to push ahead with developments more quickly and bring them to market," Sardo continues.

During their visit, FDP state parliament members Hans Dieter Scheerer (Böblingen district) and Dr. Christian Jung (Karlsruhe district) were able to see for themselves the successful new start and impressive intralogistics projects, such as an electric floor conveyor system for order picking in deep-freeze warehouses. The topic of Industry 4.0 and the digitalization of industrial processes were also on the agenda. "We are looking positively into the future and are currently developing a predictive maintenance solution that can use artificial intelligence to avoid expensive plant downtime," said Sardo, explaining the Airtico project, which is being funded by the state as part of the Baden-Württemberg 2021 AI Innovation Competition. "In this way, we are creating the basis for further healthy company growth and the long-term preservation of jobs in the region," Sardo continues.
